On Monday, 12th February we returned to Kids 1st Low Fell, as we hadn't been around for a while. It was an amazing experience to see how much some of the children had grown since we last visited. Last Monday, 5th February we visited Kids 1st Rake Lane for some pictures. We had a wonderful time playing with the children, being able to watch their Little Rescuers session (a course designed to teach first aid and life saving skills to nursery and primary aged children through fun, play, music and teamwork), participating in their games, and so much more! Nothing can replace the role human interaction plays in a child’s growth and development, especially when it comes to acquiring language and developing communication skills. Whether it's playing outdoors, drawing, painting, learning about nature or even reading books, all the activities that take place in Kids 1st nurseries have been designed not only for your children to enjoy, but for them to develop their communication and cognitive skills. Last Friday, 12th January, we visited our Kids 1st Hexham nursery. This Monday, 8th January, we payed a visit to Kids 1st QE nursery. We were greeted by the nicest staff and did a guided tour through the different rooms. The nursery was immaculately clean, and shined with a bright atmosphere. We joined in on a dance class, and had loads of fun with the children. Read more on this blog post.

Young children need the opportunity to use their whole body and develop their gross motor skills. It's only when they have mastered these that they will be able to control their fine motor skills, such as using a knife and fork or holding a pencil! Many of the fundamental tasks that children must achieve, such as exploring, risk-taking, fine and gross motor development and the absorption of vast amounts of basic knowledge, can be most effectively learned though outdoor play. That's right! Santa visited our Durham nursery last Friday, 15th December. All the children were beyond excited to see Santa and, of course, get some presents! On the 29th November we visited Kids 1st Sunderland to spend time with the children, taking lots of pictures and playing in the snow! The nursery's atmosphere is very inviting, and staff have an excellent understanding of how children learn. Check out this adorable post with lots of pictures from the nursery and the snow!

We visited Kids 1st Durham on Monday, 27th November. The nursery shines with an inviting atmosphere, modern looking building, creative art on the walls and staircase, providing an exciting and stimulating environment for children. We couldn't leave without playing with the children of course, taking a few photographs of on the way. This blog post is a must!
