Kids 1st Hexham nursery visit in pictures!

Last Friday, 12th January, we visited our Kids 1st Hexham nursery and we had an amazing time with the children.

Just like all Kids 1st nurseries, Hexham's has been designed with a fresh and homely feel to ensure each child can experience inspiring educational activities indoors and outdoors. Once we arrived at the nursery, we immediately noticed the brightness, open windows and paintings on the walls, which combined created a unique and perfect atmosphere for children to explore and learn. 

We've met the staff before heading to the different rooms, where we played with the children and took pictures of their daily activities. All the rooms were super clean and tidy, and they all provided tools to help towards child development. Whether it was books or toys, there was enough to entertain the children for a long time. Our first room to visit was the Starfish room.

The ball pool was, once again, one of our Starfish's favourite activities. An inflatable ball pit is a joy that you cannot explain unless you have actually had the pleasure of diving in. At Kids 1st, we understand the importance of soft play areas, as they offer the ideal environment for children of all ages to practice and improve their communication skills, play / interact in a safe environment with other children and simply have fun.

The brightly colored balls inside a ball pit create a rainbow sea of fun and entice children into the therapy environment. The balls massage the entire body, provide buoyant support, deep-pressure sensation and encourage relaxation. They also strengthen sensory motor skills.

What can be more fun than a colourful ball pool?

The other children were playing with different toys. Blocks of wood with different shapes was this little one's favourite toy. He was sure having a great time!

Peek-a-boo is a great way to entertain children, this little Starfish in particular! He could have easily played like this for hours...

As the children carried on with their daily activities, we've moved to a different room, as we were curious about what our Dolphins, Seahorses and Puffins were up to. 

We walked into the next room and the children just greeted us with smiles and giggles! There were a lot of activities going on. Some children were playing with dinosaurs, others with cars and trains. Some were even building a train track! How exciting!

This little one loved his orange dinosaur! We asked him what noise did the dinosaur make and he was quick to let us know what a dinosaur sounded like!

No matter what toy the children chose to play with, there was enough in this room to entertain them for months! So many toys, books, and other exciting activities surrounding the children, giving them the liberty to choose what to play with next.

We soon moved to the next room, were the children were having a great time being creative with paint!

Who needs a brush? All the talent is at the tip of those little fingers...

The children got to see what happens when you mix different colours together, and they were very excited about the results. Check out this little one's work of art! So many beautiful colours...

What about this little one showing us her favourite colour? We were really amazed with the amount of creativity going on in this room! So many talented children.

We then moved to a room where children could be whatever they liked! We mean it! They could be builders, chefs, they could play with dolls, and they even got to wear a hat and goggles while building incredible things!

There was plenty of entertainment in this room. The main purpose was to encourage the children that they could become whoever they wanted. At Kids 1st Nurseries, we encourage children to be creative, as this helps with their development.

Some children cooked up some meals just like real chefs do! Then, of course, they ate all the food on the plates...

We've had an incredible day and we hope to visit soon again.
