Visiting Kids 1st Bowesfield this week was an absolute joy! We were so impressed at the many different activities the children were up to at nursery, that we documented them all to share with you on this very new blog post. Playing exclusive, interactive and brain-stimulating games both outdoors and indoors is a great way to learn, and the children enjoyed every second of these activities.

Starting with outdoors, the children played a game where they'd have to lift a huge kite and bounce different objects without dropping them. Each child gathered around this huge kite and grabbed a handle. Then it was time to play the game.

The children were so excited and had so much fun doing this! What started as a sitting-down game soon became a super fun activity, and the children were giggling as they bounced different objects on the kite. Playing outdoors is incredibly beneficial to children, and every Kids 1st Nursery has outdoor gardens for the children to explore and play in.

Once the game was over, it was time for a different activity. This time, the children gathered around a soapy water tank with different letters hidden inside. Before they began looking for the right letters, they'd have to guess which was the first letter of their names. This game was incredibly fun to watch, and we're sure the children had a great time playing it too. Splashing around in water is always fun, but when you make a game out of it, it becomes an even greater activity!

With their sleeves rolled up, the children looked for the different letters. Some of them were pretty well 'hidden', but these little ones never gave up until they'd found all the letters from everyone's names!

We then took some pictures after the children found their letters...

Outdoors is a great place to play in, and since the weather was cooperating, other children were also enjoying the outdoor gardens. Some children were dressed up as pirates and princesses and playing in the boat! How exciting! We couldn't pass on such activity without taking some photos...

Two pirates and two princesses were sailing the worlds of imagination, playing on this pirate's boat. The pirate's had hats and pirate clothes on, and the princesses were obviously dressed up as well, in their yellow and pink dresses. 'All aboard...let's sail the sea!'

The children could have been at it for hours! They were so excited and happy to learn about pirates, princesses and ships. But something else exciting was happening in the gardens of Kids 1st Bowesfield...it was car-washing time! Some children were enjoying the sunny weather and taking this time to wash 'their cars' - and what a commitment! Some children took this activity very serious, making sure the cars were looking shiny and clean!

How many children does it take to wash a car...? With their rain boots and waterproof coats, these little ones soaked their sponges in soapy water and had a go at scrubbing the cars, cleaning their wheels, seats and doors!

After spending all this time with the children outdoors, we suddenly became very curious about what else the children would be up to inside the nursery. So, we decided to go in and photograph other activities that the children were involved in.

Some children, were being very artsy, creating stunning paintings with lots of different colours. This activity is great to stimulate their imagination and creativity, as well as their motor-cognitive coordination.

...The final masterpiece...!

Some children were being even more creative! Instead of using cotton pads to paint, they used...trains and cars!

How creative is this 'museum-worthy' masterpiece?

We were having an incredible day so far, but there was still so many more activities taking place at nursery. For example, some children were playing with giant Lego outside, while other enjoyed playing in a blend of flour and oil, which created a sand-textured mixture.

Some children even went fishing! With nets in different colours, this challenging game had them try to catch only the right coloured fish that matched the colour of their net. They were both incredibly good and faster than anyone at this game.

For the children, all of these activities were of never-ending fun! Regardless of the one they were involved in, these kids were having the time of their lives at nursery, and it showed.

We had an incredible day at the nursery. We were absolutely overwhelmed at how much goes on each day at nursery. Every activity that the children are involved in at our nurseries is designed to helps towards their development. We can't wait to return to nursery for another day of exciting activities! See you soon, Kids 1st Bowesfield!
