Playing in a pool of letters, dressing up as pirates and princesses, washing up cars, painting with cotton, playing with giant Lego, sensory-playing in a sandy mixture, fishing or playing several games, at Kids 1st Bowesfield the children know how to have fun! Kids 1st Quorum is a wonderful nursery with both indoor and outdoor areas for the children to enjoy. During our latest visit to the nursery we got to join the children out in the gardens and witness lots of running around, smiley faces and giggles. But there was a lot happening indoors too! Young children need the opportunity to use their whole body and develop their gross motor skills. It's only when they have mastered these that they will be able to control their fine motor skills, such as using a knife and fork or holding a pencil! Many of the fundamental tasks that children must achieve, such as exploring, risk-taking, fine and gross motor development and the absorption of vast amounts of basic knowledge, can be most effectively learned though outdoor play.
