Parents play day at Kids 1st Rake Lane!

Parent play days are a unique and special way for the nursery staff, children and parents to enjoy life at nursery from different perspectives. While for the children they're a phenomenal way to engage with their parents and share their nursery every-day life with them, for the parents, spending time with their children at nursery gives them a chance to see what goes on at nursery every day and what activities their children get involved with. Furthermore, and not forgetting the nursery staff who plays a crucial role on the children's development, play days are a great way for them to engage with both parents and children at the same time, creating a captivating and sweet bond between these three pillars: parents, children and nursery.

Last week, Kids 1st Rake Lane celebrated a whole day dedicated to the children and their parents. With a parents play day taking place at nursery, lots of parents joined their little ones for an afternoon of fun games, reading stories, singing songs, riding bicycles and playing outside in the sun. 

All children were over the moon with excitement. They couldn't wait for their parents to arrive. Once they did, there was no stopping the children from having lots of giggles with their moms and dads!

It was wonderful to see the parents fully-engaged, embracing all the activities and having lots of fun with their children. Around the different rooms, there was lots of laughter, and of course, lots of special cuddles.

Some children enjoyed playing dress-up and being princesses, while others chose to dress up as their favourite characters: spider-man, batman, and other. Other children preferred to grab their favourite books and sit on their parent's lap being read some exciting adventures.

Some parents had fun helping their little ones building giant necklaces from Lego, where the children used lots of different colours to create very creative patterns and interesting shapes.  

Among all the different activities, playing with foam was certainly one of the most exciting we've seen!

Soon, it was lunch time, so we headed over to our babies room to see what was on the menu. We could smell the yummy food throughout the halls, and we were very excited to document the babies having their lunches with their moms and dads present. 

The children finished off the main course pretty quickly! They drank a few sips of fresh water as they tried to make room in their tummies for a delicious dessert! 

Outside in the gardens, the children were also having lots of fun. 

Driving cars, riding bicycles and going on the slide were only some of the activities these little ones got involved with at nursery. They also played hide and seek, and you should have seen their faces light up with excitement as they played all sorts of different games...

Playing hide and seek was so much fun. The children were so clever choosing their hiding places! 

Indoors or outdoors, it didn't matter. One thing was for sure: everyone was having a great time at nursery!

The day soon came to an end, but we've kept and documented so many incredible and tender moments of the children with their parents, and even their peers and nursery staff. 

What an incredible day! Kids 1st Rake Lane is so much fun. Both parents and children had a fantastic time at nursery last week. We can't wait to go back to document more fun moments, smiles, activities and events. But before we say goodbye, here are some more photos we took:
