Kids 1st Low Fell nursery visit in pictures!

Positive experiences in early years can benefit children in developing social skills and their ability to learn, and good quality childcare has been shown to benefit children right through primary school. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is how government and professionals describe the time in a child’s life between birth and age five. At the heart of the EYFS is the principle that young children need to play in order to have fun, make friends and to begin to learn and understand about the world around them. This is where foundations are laid, good or bad, for a child’s future education. A child’s early years’ experience should be happy, active, exciting, fun and secure. On Monday we headed over to our Low Fell's nursery to take some pictures and spend time with the children. All the children were super happy and having a great time singing, being read stories, and playing with their favourite toys. Some of them enjoyed watching the snow through the windows, other children loved playing in a bed of flour! Overall, we've had nothing but smiles from our Starfish, Seahorse, Dolphin and Puffins rooms. 

We've had a lovely morning, and once again, the pictures we took really speak for themselves!

Playing in the flour pool was the activity of the day! We had no idea how fun this could be until we tried it ourselves! We may have ended up covered in white, but we sure had fun with all the children.

Check out those happy faces. We witnessed so many giggles and smiles on that flour pool...

But the toys were fun too! This toy played music when you pressed some buttons, and we were sure having fun singing some classics!
